Planning several home upgrades
Share the whole list before choosing the order.
Put the goals on one page.
List the work you want to do now, what you may add later and what is still uncertain. Include renovations, heat pumps, electric vehicles, solar and backup equipment.
Identify the shared decisions.
Several projects may involve the same panel, equipment space or route through a finished wall. Early coordination helps clarify which decisions affect more than one part of the work.
Bring the plans you have.
Preliminary drawings, equipment information, photos and current energy use can all be useful. Share known constraints such as a roof replacement or other work already scheduled.
Define the immediate scope.
A broader plan does not mean doing every project at once. Decide what the current proposal covers and which future plans it is intended to accommodate.
